Not so politically correct

Isn't this great country of the United States of America ironic

We get upset when people cross our border to live a better life maybe it's a Mexican man with a daughter and a wife

Or an African stowed away on a ship because in Africa there's not enough clean water not even a sip

Maybe it's a middle Eastern man looking for religious freedom just like we did many years ago when we claimed this country and built a kingdom

if you read the history books we stole this land and didn't give it a second look

We killed out an entire race just so we could have our own place

The native Americans lived in peace until we came and shot them  with our piece

the only reason our English ancestors didn't die so long ago is because they taught us to hunt and fish and even use a bow

Now we have this land and the natives have been pushed into reservations its there last stronghold

it was like we could care less if they were dying just sitting there freezing in the blistering cold

We have almost destroyed every bit of land that was once peaceful and beautiful the once fresh lakes are now void

The once fresh air is now filled densely with the smog of some factory pumping out chemicals into our prepackaged microwaveable food

The trees have all been cut down and turned into paper that will just get burnt or thrown away later

Racism isnt just black and white it can be any color everyone should be equal it's like there's going to be another war for Independence except it's part two the sequel

Tupac said spread the love and keep the peace. it's not that hard if everyone kept their peace then we wouldn't have to keep a piece

since our ancestors arrived, this country has brought bloodshed and sadness we stole this amazing place but it wasn't greedy madness

I love this country and would give anything for it no matter the price i love religious freedom it's a blessing to be able to publicly praise Christ

But we the people are even taking that away from ourselves kids can't pray in schools but we are so worried about the middle Eastern man that he has a prayer spot in the library

It's almost like we have too many rules on the wrong subject but not enough against the real criminals it's slightly scary

In today's society it's worth more to be politically correct than it does to have a flawless reputation and a nice home situation

We as Americans give away our money through taxes to the killing of unborn babies that could have had a life and helped save the poor from being hungry

then we give money through welfare and disability to people who are just lazy and don't care

Poetry shouldn't be political but this is my rant we should all look deep inside ourselves
thanks for reading and remember to help the people who can't help themselves
