Nothing Wrong With You

Nothing Wrong With You

Doubting self is naturally normal
But what, in fact, is normality?
You go ahead and feign formality
For those fearful folks
Who fear your abnormality.
I look at you, I see everything
I ever wanted to be,
But inside would rather anything
Would rather be strung on the rafters
On the roof, the rueful genius
Who no longer fear the cleanless
Hate of hurtful things
Thrown at you to discourage
Yourself, but rather encourage
You to hurt inside
Faking normalcy.
Dear sweet, I promise you
You shall never go through
Being hated and reviled ever again
Once you realize that, even then,
When your pen runs out of words
To describe why they are always right,
Your world will split into thirds,
The haters,
The misanthropists,
And you.
And you will always win,
They can never hurt you again, for
There are others akin
To you
And you are not broken,
Wrong,
Too outspoken,
Weird,
You are you,
And no-one can take that from you
My sweet.
Once you realize
They are worth nothing
To you.
My sweet.
There is nothing wrong with you.
