NUMBER TWO

So you're the star?
Front and center, lead in the band
Round here you're number two
Her retirement plan

I've seen the purest of days, snow angels in the snow
I've seen the sun shine down, the ocean blue
I've shared dreams with my heroes
I've seen the street swallow winners and zeros
Then she came along, hijacked my heart, stole its beat
What's worse?
The tainted lovers or the broken hearted?
Clothes in the street

So you're  the star?
Front and center, lead in the band
Round here you're number two
Her retirement plan

I've felt truth as I told a lie
I could have held back them words, ones that made you cry
I've been vindictive and tasted sweet revenge
I met you at the start and pushed you to your end
Guess were one in the same
Point a finger, three pointing back to blame

So you're  the star?
Front and center, lead in the band
Round here you're number two
Her retirement plan

You are only as powerful as your beliefs and it sounds as though you are on top of your game and plans to remain their, keep pushing the pen Anthony, because when you push it, it demands to be adhered to..Great job and great poem.
