Objectively Poetry...

Objectively Poetry...

Words can be cheap,
Spoken with a forked tongue,
Words can be deep,
Breathing from a poets lung,
Words can be frivolous,
It doesn't mean the person is,
Words can be opinions,
It doesn't mean we believe in this,
Read a piece of poetry objectively,
Ask the same person respectively,
A piece of art?
A total farce?
Do we not look within ourselves and think, what is our perspective, before we attack people?

Why are we so quick to turn the knife?
Why does the opinion, need to be right?

Who is a poet?
Certainly not me,
But what I read,
I do so objectively.

I'm starting to lose faith in writing,
It's nearly been a week with my empty pages,
Someone said that I'm self indulgent,
This has altered my creative stages,

Stage 1, overthinking.
Stage 2, overthinking.
Stage 3, overthinking.

This pattern will continue, if we try to agree with everybody,
We need to accept that sometimes, we just can't,
This is absolutely fine, but read people's art respectively,
Everything is not about, how we feel, look at it objectively.

Who is a poet?
Certainly not me,
But what I read,
I do so objectively...

Nigel Cresswell...

Wayne I totally identify with this. We can only be poets from our own souls.
However;

Who is a poet?
certainly not me,

That, sir, I take real issue with. You are the truest poet I know.
Your friendĀ
