Poem -
Ode to love at first sight
They saw each other on the last train coming in that night
Two separate people, different as darkness is to light
Jody came from a world torn apart and felt forsaken
Daddy left home but she had the heart to forgive him
Still wanted his hand if she ever got married one day
John was chasing dreams but they kept on running away
Leaving him tired worn down alone and resentful, until
Their eyes shone on each other in wordless adoration, and
As they walked hand in hand away from the Railway Station
It suddenly occurred to them; without explanation
That they could make each other whole
