Ode to John Muir

he said:
“ the mountains are calling and I must go “
I went for some reason, I just don’t know
the woods make me feel alive and free
on a trail or by the lake there I’ll be
he said:
” come to the mountains to find rest “
it’s  where I can breath, play, where I’m at my best
he said:
“ and into the forest I go to lose my mind and find my soul “
I climb higher and higherÂ
I go alone yet I feel whole
he said:
“ going to the mountains is going home “
whether summer or fall,
a starlit night or sun kissed day, Â I wander I roam

Hi ASPIRE!!...... Well crafted in formatting and ease & flow of reading...... this subject matter reminds me of the intent behind Henry David Thoreau's "Walden"....... the seclusion that leads to a oneness & understanding of the beauty in nature!!......ALL STARS!!...... well done dear poet sister!!....LOVE & ROCKETS!!.......T xo ?✴❤✴?
Thanks Tony ( Mr Poetry) your support for all of us poets does not go unnoticed !
yes , Muir, Â Thoreau, Â Wordsworth, Â Emerson,
I walk in their shadow,Â
to love nature is to love the air we breath
because without it there is no livingÂ
