ODE to JOY

I witness joy, upon this earth

Behold it, in each miraculous birth

Am enveloped by, its sensual wreathe

Inhale its fragrance, each time I breathe

Embrace the joy, each day I wake

Savor its love, each pang and ache

I feel the delight, of fun and laughter

Rejoice in the grace, that we feel after                                              

I kiss and caress, my joys of life

Grandchildren, children, and my wife

I taste and revel, in life’s sweet fruit

For the joy of life, is absolute
