Poem -

OF....THE DOG/CAT MEAT TRADE...

I unzip my skin and step out of it

I place it over you

Because they have stolen yours

To make our shoes

And you are cold and in pain

And I am ashamed and in pain

I want to make you warm again

But it makes no difference

I have achieved nothing

We stand bloody and exposed

Together

All alone

We continue to shiver

To exist in our living death.
