Oh the Flame

Oh the terror!—the sheer mercy, a passion scar, for love cursed
Me. And oh the flame, a flare mirage, a spirit death, a demon
Lodge. My restless heart, afraid to breathe, a specter light, a
Silent need. And yogic love, the wind detached, an adder’s
Egg, a spirit snatched. But oh the flame, a cryptic dance, a
Thousand hertz, a sudden glance. My aching muse, the ruse
Of love, a zenic pulse, a ghostly flood. And soul to rain, an
Absent vibe, a present dream, a stippled mind.
Oh the terror!—the sheer mercy, a passion scar, for love cursed
Me. And oh the flame, the sound of light, a silent death, a
Cultic life. My rhythm bone, an ocean breeze, a fire web, the
Autumn leaves. For heart to kiln, the feel of flight, a fathom
Deep, the wrench of sight. And soul to rain, an absent vibe,
A present dream, a stippled mind.     Â
