Oh if only ?

I wanna wake up in the morning with the sunshine on my face so I can pickup my little ones and drive to a picnic place 
We will run in the sun and plodge in the streams just like we used to do in the summertime from my bygone dreams

Without a care in the whole wide world we will laugh at jokes and eat and drink as happy tales unfurled
My grandchildren and I could have an absolute brilliant day 
Oh what lovely treasured memories would be made if I could only have my way

Will we ever go back to the carefree times we had before ? from these days of uncertainly with this humanity survival war
Not to have to think about social distancing would be my perfect reverie
Oh if only I could wake up to a life of normality
