Oh if only I could......

Oh if only I could......

My hair is getting messy and my nails are very poor Oh if only I could go to the salon and get my usual
manicure
I never ever thought I would actually miss standing in a queue but right now at this minute in time well there’s nothing more I’d like to do

Eeh how I’d love to do the normal things and let’s hope soon it is all okay or it will be God know’s what Santa brings for everybody on Christmas day
It’s all the little things that we take for granted that I miss the most like sitting in M & S at breakfast time enjoying a cuppa and some toast
Just to drive to the shopping mall and rummage thru sale shelves with everyone busy grabbing bargains and helping themselves

My highlight of my life right now is getting food shopping online
Once you’ve managed to get a delivery slot then everything else is fine
Now there are no shortages of things like toilet rolls we rely upon our keyworker’s to deliver, they are marvellous, helpful souls
So all in all we are all muddling thru and I really can’t complain but I have to say it will be wonderful to have some normality again

The things we miss!  Isn't it eye opening realising what we take for granted. Great poem x

My Dear Jill,

Your heartfelt poem, is cutting edge, describing the "harried" life that we are all experiencing now.

All my love,
Larry xxx
