“Oh my sweet Angelina” ❤️
I comb her hair with the softest bristle brush I can find
I want to be so very careful
I need to be extremely kind
I know this old lady Oh so very well
I was one of her little dancing girls
I reminsce her hair, highlighted and garnished amidst glistening, golden curls
But her bygone years are but distant memories, I see sadness in her eyes
Those granduers of good times are gone in yon decades of demise
So today I stand and gently brush her fine hair
shreads of silver on the bald what was once dashing, debonair
“Oh my sweet Angelina you are still beautiful to me, my brilliant ballerina so bedazzling and free”
I shall never forget the lessons I learned as I mimicked your movements and how my heart burned
Dance on and on my fabulous friend you have said your farewells
at journey,s end
I have brushed your hair and painted your pretty face
you are ready to join the Angels in that heavenly place ❤️
