Waves thunderclap over the harbour wall
Rising in a raging rupture and crashing with the fall
Tempestuous throwing a fit
Splurging saltiness 
Spewing spit
Fuming in a frenzy
Floods of foaming froth
Spilling over the edges of the pier
Just like a pan of boiling Scotch broth

Upsurge of undulation
Corkscrewing in a curl
Winding whitecap
Twisting in a twirl
An influx of rushing
A coil of crest
Combers and convolutions
On a quarrelsome quest
Breakers of billows
from ground swells of gush
Rocking and rollings
with ridges of rush

Menacing the mortals
On a collision course
Dynamic and dangersome
showing no remorse
Oh salty sea 
with your briney blue 
Why on earth do you hue and cry
in a hullabaloo
I see you rip-roaring
viiolently wild
Yet I have bathed in your motionless when you want to be mild
