Ok with Death and Winter

What does it mean
To have a demon inside of you
Is it trapped negative energy
Or a Satan spawn
Does it matter the non form
 where it is from
Has beneath it for some
 a grace
Angels are roses
But then there is the thorn
In an unseen mansion of gold
A man is cold and just can’t go on
Our sufferings are grasping the rose from below
And while we are staring into the roses heart
Our blood does flow
And the same shape our blood flows
journey paths like a riverÂ
as the hawk sees its prey from above
The rabbit must flow into its death
Our days also follow
When it is full winter
We can cross the river
What demons we carry
Come and go
While God calls us to suffer
The deep white of snow
And beings out and beings in
Sin in fear
Pray to begin again
And go beneath the grace to murder
Or above it to surrender
Ok with death and winter

We ALL deal with our own personal demons, Ruth.
Mine is from my time spent as a US Marine causing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder along with adult night terrors.
And, as you've stated here in your poem, we can surrender and simply give in, or we can stand up and fight those demons every day.
Writing is an excellent way to do so.
Nice work...
