I'm feeling okay
better than yesterday
not where I want to be 
however it's a start.
I'm feeling okay
trying to look up
eyes laden but unbroken
fixated with the ground.
I'm feeling okay
thought slowly shifting
the clouds still linger
but the sun will shine.
I'm feeling okay
still pain in thought
learning to smile again
fighting the numb.
I'm feeling okay
I've been here before
bloodied but unbowed
I will rise again.
I'm feeling okay
for I am still breathing
one foot before the other
into a new day.
I'm feeling okay
for yesterday is over
it has not killed me
despite what I fear.
I'm feeling okay
for now that's enough
tomorrow not promised
I'll settle for now.
