Old evergreens

I looked hard for the romance
On that cold clear day, and the
church did stand ancient, as
we sent you away
And I caught myself falling
Just as green as the leaves
That blew down from
branches of those
Old evergreens
Which stood ancient,
respectful, as they took in the
scene and I felt myself aching
To feel so serene
And I looked for the romance,
as my eyes traced the sky
Observing the beauty in the
clouds that passed by
While I waited for the angels
or the cherubs, to descend...
Or anything
To show me
That this wasn't
The end...

Awwww Thanking you my beautiful soul & you keep looking up to those blue skies and beyond where the twinkling stars shine so bright ⭐️🌹❤️🌹
Well as I said...we do keep trying to dress it up in chocolate box angels Jill when the reality is anything but...
i think now society conditions us to do this because the truth is too bloody to be tolerated. Well, I haven't found the angels or the cherubs and I'm still on the hunt for god...so...look out god!!! Thanks love ❤️
