Old friend

Old friend

Old friend where have you gone?,
we used to be so close,
now so far apart,
I know I did things that might have hurt you,
I said that I was sorry and sorry is all that I can say.

so what more can I do?

as nobody is perfect including you,
as there was times when you let me down,

yet did I ever just walk away,
like the way you did on the day of my Birthday,
I will never forget it.

forgive me my old friend,
as I will forgive you,
on the things you did to me,
that hurt ever so deeply.
