Like Old Lovers Do

Like Old Lovers Do

Do you remember
that night we first made love?.
I had bought you roses
from the flower girl.
The gypsy violins played
romantic music
in the old Hungarian restaurant.

We went back to my place
and we kissed deeply.
You were so shy.
I felt it odd you were shy
after all
we have been lovers
in so many lifetimes.
