Old Penny Flood

Like explosions of water hitting the ground 

Welcomed by gardeners but sun seekers just frown

Raindrops the size of an old one penny piece

Turn the streets into rivers,as the cloudburst is released 

Thunderous grey clouds,from a horror movie scene 

Looking altogether menacing and incredibly mean

A turmoil of dark clouds,mostly grey and nearly black

Swirling aggressively in the sky,a lightning strike and a thunder crack 

A deluge of water runs into the drains,too much for the tunnels,water lifts manholes and frames

Nowhwere to go in the nieghbourhood

The storm clouds rain have created a flood
