OLD PHOTOS

He kept all his old photos secret and hidden
Something to look at when he's bedridden 
That day is now and for him it's finally here
One last look to bring him comfort and cheer

The photos were in grainy black and white 
Taken with an old camera I'm sure that's right 
He was a dashing young man back in the day
Met a pretty young lady along the way

That lady was to become his lovely bride 
The photos show that it was sunny outside 
Happy times holiday times they were all there
Why was his wife taken early just wasn't fair

Photos never lie more precious than gold 
Each with a unique story that will unfold 
Look back on them every once in a while 
They will make you cry and make you smile
