Old Stone Walls Of Galway

Old Stone Walls Of Galway

See the old stone walls of Galway
As you slowly pass them by
They suggest a mystical past
That no man could tell a lie
The Graigabbey river flows slow and free
A mild fog sits still over land and sea
See the old stone walls of Galway
They still stand firm and tallĀ
From Ballinasloe to Clifden
The ghosts you can still hear their call
Through the rough terrain of ConnemaraĀ
Where ancient times still speak
See the old stone walls of Galway
Where hunter travellers used to search and seek.

See the old stone walls of Galway
Where hunter travellers used to search and seek.

A lovely evocation of the ancient/modern landscape of the West.
The allusion in that last line is particularly clever...

Welcome to Cosmofunnel.
