Poem -

Older

my daughter stopped cuddling her teddy

the one she has cherished for years

Old Ted whom she has loved from a baby

that helped wash away all her tears

a teddy that went with her everywhere

now spends most of his time on the floor

missing out on the bedtime cuddles

because of things that now matter more

ive made a special place for him now

and take comfort in the fact that I know

he's been a wonderful part of her childhood

as I have watched my little girl grow

shes now a lovely young lady

and has a wonderful life ahead

and although I hope not I'm sure the'll be times

when once again she'll need dear Old Ted
