On A Wing And A Prayer

On A Wing And A Prayer

I try to drift over despair,
But on a wing and a prayer.
Like a broken angel, I
Find it hard to reach realms of Light.
Enchanting things have lost their charm
And turned to ash. There is no calm,
Only monotonous treadmills
Of indifferent days. Time kills.
I've lost the patience and the will,
To climb up yet another hill
Backwards. I guess all I can say,
Is let the chips fall where they may.
Perhaps amidst this infernal grey,
Blue and white promise will come my way.
