ON CRYING

In a slumber did my spirit reveal
The tears that cry
The sadness that drinks the dew
From the soul of a man
Through a drowning man's decay
Did my shoulders
Bear the weight
Of the lashes of life
And the melancholy
Of mausoleums
Where
My heart is torn into a collage
Of fragmented
Torturous
Mazes,
Proving escape
Impossible
And leaving my face
Buried
In my hands
Remorseful
Repose
Where healing, I pray
Begins
And leaves me
Less tragic...

Hi Tony you have such a beautiful way with words. I can relate to the melancholy feel in this poem yet there is always hope and we will reach for it :) x
My Dear Tony,
I cry tears of the future
They are sent by my past
But I will rise up to fight them
Less tragic at last
