On the Road To Casablanca

On the Road To Casablanca

As a Young Man
I traveled
through the
Mysterious
Land of Morocco

Travelling on a Bus
through the
countryside
destination
Casablanca

Minus the Bus ride
I thought
I was
travelling
back to the
time of Jesus
Camels passing
by
Shepards
herding their
Sheep
I recall
thinking
the simplicty
of life
is so apparent
Yet our Modern
invasion
has corrupt
all that is
good

Sometimes
in the conflict
of climbing the
ladder
and trying
to conquer
Big Corporate
America
I wish
I could
return
to the
Bus ride
to Casablanca
