On Wretchedness
Though I am but dust and ash
Ultimately,
I shall endeavor to speak with my God...
Know that the ancient enemy, Beelzebub
Is known to me, of this I am sure you're aware
But in my dreams, my heart is heavy
Where time stands still and great fear lay there
Strangling my sense of right and wrong
And time slows again ~ more vehemently
To reveal the face of evil's resolve
In red waterfalls and bloody testimony
Pray Lord, of what am I dreaming?.....
Is it my judgments, my decisions
Haunting me?
For as I recall in retrospect
Some of my actions were not Godly
But so selfishly, self indulgent,
That sometimes I pray for forgiveness
Even though I know it's not there,
Shall I be afraid?......
For sometimes I suffer in pain
From your wrath
And that
Which I know, I deserve
But when will I know
And understand,
The depths,
Of my well deserved
Wretchedness...

When realities of this existence become clear through an ailment or circumstance, with an acknowledgement of ones mortality, regret for misdemeanours can materialise when believing in God and judgement of deeds inappropriate to faiths teachings.
This is an astonishing write which should make many evaluate their actions !
Faith means caring and sharing with all aspects of righteousness embraced. None are perfect but being considerate to others in mind and body is a prerequisite to reward on passing from this mortal coil, if true religious understanding is adopted.
Faith tells us forgiveness for inappropriate actions is far more likely in most cases when life is judged upon passing. However evil and perpetrators of heinous crimes against goodness are to be condemned.
