ONCE A WORKER

The old man started to grin and smirkĀ
A crowded bus of people on their way to workĀ
The old man's working days are now done
Seeing people going to work was his funĀ

He like them worked on that factory floor
Twenty years a skivvy or perhaps even more
Now it is time for him to relax and chillĀ
Nice to know that the factory exists still

So the crowded people now leave that bus
Starting to swear and no doubt cussĀ
Twelve hour shifts were now going to take placeĀ
Increasing the smile on the old man's face
