Once upon a breakdown.

Symptoms..  following one another quietly so.. so as not to alarm you of their collective leader.

Dancing with intermittence to desensitise and relieve the warriors worry.

Virus-like upon the host... weakening silently.

As though light disminishes at dusk.. fading away.. sounds turn to echos...

Gently softening you for the final attack..

Outside... lethargy..
Inside.. a battle commences

And before you know it, violent victory takes hold.
