One Cent Soul

One Cent Soul

A penny falls
Falls from great height
It tumbles, and turns and zigzags in its flight
The penny is old, its copper dusty and dull
When It falls and pierces my unlucky skull.

Yes, I am dead
With a penny in my head
Strangers gather around my body, their eyes filled with dread
A man approaches my corpse, his face shows dismay

He picks up the penny, and then walks away.
