DMV

Long lines in heaven to be judged by God
Waiting in front of pearly gates
His white desk and his lever for the trapdoor.
Long lines standing in front of the DMV
Tired baggy eyed woman waiting in front of grayish green desks
Camera ready for subpar pictures.
Who knew, when you got your license.
When you got your beer.
When your friends piled into the car.
You’d end up in another long line.
