One Day

When I am there I am gone

I see but never hear

I am here but never there

Why doesn't anyone care

I remember that I was there

At one time I didn't just stare

I could hear and people cared

I wish I were free

Free to see, free to hear

I wish all the world cared

But they don't and they won't 

Til I fall and fail to stand 

Then I will rise and try again
