ONE IN A MILLION

ONE IN A MILLION

WITH HANDS KISSING THE WINDOWPANE
FEELING THE COLDNESS OF THE RAIN’S CRY,
THE LITTLE BOY TURNS HIS HEAD
TOWARDS HIS MOTHER AND ASKED,
DID YOU SEE THAT MOM.

STOPPING HER NEEDLEWORK,
SHE LOOKED UP AT HIM, AND RESPONDED,
SEE WHAT MY SON.
DID YOU SEE THAT RAINDROP HE ASKED.

HIS MOTHER SMILING EVER SO SOFTLY,
RESPONDS TO HIS AMAZEMENT.
ITS POURING RAIN MY CHILD,
THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF RAINDROPS
FALLING AT THE SAME TIME.

THE LITTLE BOY’S EYES OPENED WIDE,
HIS CHEEKS AN EXPRESSION OF PURE JOY,
AS HE EXCLAIMED,
YES, THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF RAINDROPS
FALLING AT THE SAME TIME MOM,
BUT I HAV’NT SEEN ANY OF THEM
THAT LOOKED LIKE THAT ONE.

HIS MOTHER REACHES HER ARMS AROUND HIM
AND SAID, SO ARE YOU MY SON,
ONE IN A MILLION..

BUT WHY DID IT MELT AWAY SO FAST MOM,
HIS MOTHER CHUCKLED AND SAID,
BEAUTIFUL THINGS ARE ALWAYS MELTING
INTO SOMETHING MORE BEAUTIFUL.
