One More Drink

One More Drink

My little whisper in lace stocking

Knotted hair like tangeled ribbons

Ratty and scraped up with dancing fingernails

My love sweetly musty like petrichor and mildew

Words out the mouth like clicking keys

Somehow more melodic than rythmic

Still more reasoning than emotion

More spontaneous, yet hesitant, than reality itself

I lived in her narrow hip hallways

Her warm and curly jaunt across the sidewalk

The subtle slope of her eyelid

Countless flaws sprinkled and smattering across her skin

Her voice clear resonating like church bells

Her eyes shallow pinpricks in a sea of overwhelming glory

Tyranous and lovely

Cradled in irony and week old love letters

Away with the sun and again with the moon, spiritual, divine

She was everything

My love

My completion

My mourning

Life is beautiful

And so perfectly flawed
