Only you can set my world on fire
With flames of passion and desire
 
In the heat of the moment there’s a flame
If we were to stop now it would be a shame
 
Your love has taken me to the mountain peak
I am drowning my soul is in water’s deep
 
We’re climbing the staircase to the top
But there is no way we are gonna stop
 
Burning just like a house on fire
With flames forever growing higher
 
You set my tender heart seems forever ablaze
The path to your heart is a never ending maze
 
We were just building castles made out of sand
We are flying wonder when we are going to land
 
Our flame seemed to go out in the smallest wind
Leading me to believe that we had just sinned
 
In one night in and out of love we fell
But my heart will have a story to tell
 
We were caught in a web we can call our own
When all of our tender mercies have been shown
 
Seems we were just lustful lovers in disguise
And all of our steamy passion a bed of lies
 
One night of passion that is all we had
And life goes back to being lonely and sad
 
I will never forget those burning flames
And how they turned to ashes just the same
 
Into the distance you simply walked away
Your fading memory will always stay
