One photo, can take you back...

One photo, can take you back...

A photo sent from the past,
Suddenly my eyes filled up,
How did forever love, not last?
Achingly I know, I gave enough,
I hope one day, the sun sets for you,
Tears trickle down, I look upto the sky,
That day at the beach, dressed in blue,
Full of life and joy, a million questions of why,
But only one, that lingers...
Why did forever love, not last?
Work, emotions, money, memories still, of a happy past,
We worked well together, until we searched the bottom of a glass,
Everything wasn't rainbows, I'm not in denial,
Maybe the tree on the hill, was far too high,
A mother to our children's life,
You'll always be on my riddled mind,
Why did forever love, not last,
With one photo, you've knocked me back,
In the end I have to give reason, the reason is the past was the past,
Dressed in denim blue, curly red hair, I'll still have this beautiful image,
Sadly, walking home, I've wrote this message with blurred vision;
I don't know why, forever love, didn't last,
But with this photo, I felt a love I once had, and it took me back...
Your photo took me back... X
