Poem -

One single tear ?

I tried so hard to hide my sadness
The shroud of hurt that noone could see
We met together exchanging gladness
I never said what was bothering me

It would have been easier to tell you
The suffering & infidelity that you caused
But then when I was in your arms
I almost let it out yet paused

Why on earth you cheated on me
I will never ever know
Have you not an ounce of decency
I have no choice but to let you go

As we parted on that final occasion
I embraced your body holding you so near
I did my utmost to mask
devastation
Though said it all with one single tear
