One word that has two meanings or more
A difficult poem to write that's for sure 
Let's take for example the word date 
A fruit to eat or a day that you can't be late

How about striking a fire with a match 
Two teams battling starting from scratch 
Mug can describe a person's face 
A drinking vessel that doesn't look out of place 

In England as currency we use the pound 
Heavy footsteps too a terrible sound 
So this poem is now over and complete 
Maybe have some confectionery if that's sweet
