One day if I die
Without a word or a sigh
What happens to my facebook profile ?
Lesser by one
a comment, a like
My name on your pic? You will never find
Tag a name you will no more
Waste of time and exercise futile!
A wish a less on the date you first breathe
On 10th of Jan, don't care if you're late
Think me rude as you always do
Coz' no matter how sweet you wish,
I will never thank you.
And as time shall pass
you all will change
New pictures clicked along new friends
Its just my timeline that remains the same
No Dylan or Kubrick shared anymore
The wall remains without THE DOOR(s)
And many years from now
click my name
manage to be so bold
A mirror remains, reflections shown
I am still young,
Its you who have grown old !

This poem actually gave me the chills. I often wonder what will happen to my profile online and how people would react. I recently lost a friend and when I went to his profile it was like he never went away but then again I could feel he was gone. A very thought provoking write. 5*s

Thanks Val. You see we are all so temporary. And our existence is so insignificant. People will just talk for few days and gradually obliviate from every memory they had of us. Strange but true our online identity shall remain forever, even though in a comatose state.
Even i was inspired to write this poem after visiting a profile of a deceased person i knews. :-(
