“Ooh just look at that view !!!”

This sheer agonising ascension may almost kill me it will

But there’s a little voice on my shoulder saying “ Come on you can do it Jill !!!”

And I exhale and inhale that clear, cool countryside chill...

Well I am half way to the very top as I look over my left shoulder

I used to manage this hill no bother but alas now I am that much older

And the air up a-height is thinner and exceedingly colder

As I rest for a while on a glacial erratic big bulbous boulder..

So I am off once again with the wind in my sails

Really hoping and praying that this east coast sea fret prevails

Coz I want to soak up all the mountainous scenery of the hills and the dales

And if the sky is right I should see all the way down from the Scottish highlands across to Snowdonia in Wales

“Ooh just look at that view !!!” I am stood at the top of the sky

Wow it’s absolutely true what they say as I panorama around and I espy

I am going to treasure this magnificent moment until the day that I die
