Open Your Eyes

Open Your Eyes

How I've waited for you my child
To hold you close, and see you smile
To smell your freshly powered skin
And shower you with kisses
Like the spring rain

Open your eyes and look at me
Let's talk for a while
It's not time to sleep

Nine months of dreams
Has materialized
So please my child..
Open your eyes

You are all I've ever wanted
How I've prayed and prayed
And my wish was granted

A bundle of joy you are to me
So open your eyes my child..
And smile for me.

Wilford Barker.

Gosh this is beautiful and just oozes that utter love that is born when our little ones arrive. Such a doting write of a proud Daddy. Have you just become one Wilford? If so then many many happy congratulations, and if not then wow you are gifted at placing yourself in that magical moment. A beautiful write, to treasure

Well you tuned into that moment beautifully. No wonder you could as you are a daddy 4 times over. Lovely Wilford. I am the youngest of 4 myself. These are magical words that capture the pride and overwhelming love, becoming a parent brings to our hearts. I have one child and remember the joy so vividly. Thanks for writing such a pretty read x
