Opinions or Actions

Hi,

I wrote this when I was scrolling through a local news feed, at the end of each story is a comments section and my god, some people talk some utter crap , opinions flying about the place and everyone's opinion is like " the best", I wonder what these people are doing, do they realise that there opinions mean absolutely jack to the grand scheme of things, even my opinion on there opinions holds no relevance in life, it's all a load of my bol@#x.

....., My comments define me, i look at my life, my past struggles and excel them into modern issues, to identify who I am.

When my father was young he was abused by the church so I hate the church, I hate Catholicism and all it stands for.

I, I, I, I am in pain therefore I am in pain, look at how I identify.

With many an I, putting myself down because of the indirect individuals who sculpted my family tree.

Now I sit and comment to aide and massage my ego because I relate to the mind and I have become what I perceive as me, the I that I-dentify with.

Your poem is telling me that I need to perform an act, a physical movement to penetrate a fictitious frequency but what you cannot see is that by simply commenting on some irrelevant story, I have engaged you, spuured you on to create a poem, therefore my action, However subtle has inadvertently created an action in you and I believe in string theory, I do not know you gerard, but I do.

Act for me.  

And I totally respect all opinions and comments on this site, if you read my comments on this poem you would understand.

I wrote this after reading a local news feed called the journal here in Ireland, there is a comments section were people have There say on international and national news, the comments are wasted, little debates on meaningless stories that become yesterday.

I hope I haven't upset you, I want you to continue commenting on my work and be outspoken everytime because I believe if we have opinions in life then we must learn to be called out and challenged on our opinions.

​​​​​​Be free to write, I will never judge and going forward, take my work with a pinch of salt, if I was true to my poetry I would be locked up in a padded room.
