Orange

I'm suffocating beneath this rind

Please peel me

I know my crustacean center is too tender

To feel the salt floor

That stings so profoundly

My eyes dart like two jeweled flys

I could drown in my pointless panic

I might claw at you in that room

So falsely dressed

So sterile

I can smell that carpet like a vapor

I will dress in sheets and paint my face

And lay in the broccoli mash

That screen rots my eyes

Please take it away
