Ordained Peanut Butter

Ordained Peanut Butter

I brushed the sky
bruising my ego
in the process
sacred communion
through red letter Christians
tainted views
from group control
makes Paul divine
crippling core beliefs
inviting the swine to rise
creating a smorgasbord
of what laws to follow
what sins to indulge
in, and damning those
who's transgressions
are unpalatable
to our taste
With that said,
Everyone loves
the smell of bacon
For myself
St Francis's inspiration
lays my stubborn judgement
to rest
May I not sip into the cup
of enlightened snobbery
where two voices meet
in secret
to sway the masses
I am walking this path
alone
Dyspraxia
denied my membership
into the sandbox
I was left to fend
for myself
Decades later
they still hover there
Though I really
do not want entry
the child in me
still hears the mockery
lead by a rejected offspring
and joined by Ursula's seed
Time to let go
Time to love
TIme to be free
I love you
You can have my
coat of many colors
and the slingshot
that I no longer use
I embrace the friction
I bow to the hate
with love
