ORDINARY PEOPLE

The greatest of tasks 

Are accomplished by ordinary people 

Some frail some weak some soft spoken 

Some with the problem of speech 

Abraham! Abraham! where are you

The voice of God calls this man 

From a house of idols to the promise land 

Moses! Moses! The burning bush cries 

By faith he draws close to see this great sight 

Take off your shoes this is holy ground 

You will deliver my people from Pharaoh's hand

Rahab! Rahab! Thou harlot of the streets 

The spies of Israel you hid under wooden sheets 

A scarlet cord from your window did hang 

As the city of Jericho fell in the Israelites hand

David! David! Come lead my sheep

A little lad with a sling that would be king

A psalmist a poet a mighty warrior 

Solomon' father

Jesus! Jesus! Mary's baby boy 

God's sacrificial lamb and Savior of the world 

KING of kings and LORD of lords

The Eternal One and everlasting Word.
