Our American Gothic

This heartwarming precious photograph, shows Linda’s Father Jack;
With his older sister Ruthie, each sharper than a tack!
Both were pushing ninety, but could reel off a joke;
And tell one so very funny, that your pants you’d often soak!
.
The day we took this picture, at a family gathering;
There was no doubt who the Queen was, and we knew who was the King!
Most their generation gone then, but they still were going strong;
If you didn’t need a joke to hear, then they’d sing you a sweet song!
.
Sadly, they both are gone now, but send their love each day;
They left us with their legacy, which will never go away!
So thank you Jack and Ruthie, for your gifts on us bestowed;
Someday, we’ll have another party, in your Heavenly abode!

Lost generations
Founders of their progeny

Lodigiana
My Dear Lodigiana,
We just recently found this photo in a large stack of forgotten ones, that turned up while we were unpacking from our move.
It is so precious, that it brought tears to Linda's eyes, and we are going to have it enlarged, and framed.
Thank you for your lovely words.
Love,
Linda and Larry xxx
