Our Babies-Part II

Our Babies-Part II

                               Cody’s Baby

We called Cody our precious Baby, we loved him very true;
But Cody also had a Baby Boy, that he doted on daily too!
As you can see by this sacred photo, he carried him in his jaws;
His darling Baby Monkey, who called him “my Paw-Paw”!
.
Yes, his monkey had a pull-string, that would activate some sounds;
Like those from in the jungle, the cutest toy around!
When we gave it to our dear Cody, they became an instant pair;
We were afraid it would not last long, so we bought a couple spares!
.
But for thirteen years we did not need them, for so tender did Cody be;
He treated it very gently, to ensure its longevity!
So sadly, it could not reciprocate, his “Paw-Paw” left our sides;
Now the monkey lays in his Daddy’s shrine, some nights we hear him cry!
.
.
                                  Cody’s own Baby
                            Went bananas over him
                              Monkey loved Daddy
