Our Fallen State

Our Fallen State

The pure, sacred space,
laid out for springtime's flowers,
to blossom and thrive;
in blue and pink ecstasies,
is not reserved
for our fallen humanity.
Alas, we are now
moulded by heavy duties.
We're bound and chained to
clock-time and trifling shadows.
Within our modern
settings, we are gadgets' slaves.
We are exiled from
Nature's bountiful freedom,
Which we once witnessed,
In the green womb of Eden.
