Our Garden

Our Garden

You were my flower,
Ever blooming.
Until you grew..
You grew ugly
You grew the ability to tear the garden down
You looked me dead in the eye and saw the frown
That I was holding for so long
Right after you told me you'd hold on
And I told you I would too.

Nothing left but leaves, scattered
And now I have to move, all the windows are shattered
We built this garden together
And planned to stay forever
But according to you, moving on, moving house
Moving from the home you've learnt to love
Is so much better.

I loved this garden, and now it's gone
Taken away from me when I did nothing wrong.
