OUR JACK`S CHOO CHOO PICNIC!

OUR JACK`S CHOO CHOO PICNIC!

" Oh gosh! it will be Christmas again soon! "

To our little Jack, says I!

" Jack?! What would you like from Santa!? "

Asked his penny counting poor old Granda!

" I want to ride on a train with you Granda!

A huge red and silver one, and I want to go far! "

" Where would we go to this time little man? "

" Oh, a very long way, right over a bridge up high!

As high as we can!

All the way right up to the sky! "

" Over a bridge! But why? "

" So that we can look down on all the sheep and the big black and white cows!

Then we can scare the farmer as he`s feeding all the sows! "

" You don`t want to scare all the little piggies! Do you son? "

" Oh no! They won`t be scared Granda!

But it will be funny watching the farmer having to run!

Granda? Will the farmer have lots of horses there too? "

" I don`t know son! It all depends on the farm that the train has to go through! "

" Choo choo!

Choo choo!

When can we go Granda?!

Please! I want to go now!

Can we take a picnic and lots of pop?! "

" Oh you`ll have to ask your Nanny to see if she can knock that lot up! "

" Nanny? I`m going with Granda on a great big train!

He says you`ve got to make another picnic up, for us again! "

" You`re going on another trip? sweetie!

Then I`d better get a picnic parceled up for you pretty quickly! "

" Don`t forget sandwiches and crisps and pop, Nanny!

Oh and my hot chocolate!

We`re going on a long trip!

And Granda says we won`t be back till it`s quite late! "

Hi my Greg,

It would be lovely if all the Cosmo Family could all meet up one day and take a picnic along for a Christmas train trip wouldn`t it sweetie?! Maybe we could all take a trip away on the Orient Express, that would be fun! I`m chuffed that you liked this one my Greg and next time you take a trip on a train you can think of this little poem to keep you company during the trip. Thank you for the compliment on it, you`ve made my day honey and I love you for it. I have four grandson`s who are potty about trains, especially Thomas The Tank Engine!

God bless sweetie and stay safe

Hi Greg,

Does it not disturb your sleep? Or is it too far away for that? I`ll bet your American trains are much bigger and longer than ours here in England!! Our nearest station is in the city of Durham and all our boys love it when we take them to see the trains there, because it has a massive and very high, old bridge that they like to stand under as the trains go over! They will soon be too old for things like that, so we`ll enjoy it while we can!!

God bless

Hi Poetess,

I`m glad you liked this one sweetie. I have 13 grandchildren and they are all crackers about trains. I only have two granddaughters but they like trains as much as all the boys! I understand your excitement for getting grandchildren in the future, they are great fun, because at the end of a tiring day you can hand them all back to their mums and dads!! I would be lost without them all, our house is what I like to call `organized chaos`, to anyone else it`s a madhouse!! Thank you for the compliment on this piece, you`ve made my day sweetie.

God bless
