Our Little Dude Is Back

Our precious Angel Cody, last week you gave us quite a scare;

For on Wednesday you got very sick, so we ran you to the Vet for special care!

You could not hold your food down, and your water you would not touch;

When normally on every day, you drink so very much!

They looked into your tummy, with x-ray photography;

They found you had pancreatitis, we were as worried as could be!

They gave you intravenous, and lots of healing shots;

For three days they had to do this, we were in a danger spot!

But eventually the tides turned, as we were praying that they would;

You started keeping your special foods down, and drank water as you should!

Our tears turned to those of happy, just to see you return to norm;

We’d averted what we’d feared most, and conquered this great storm!

So yesterday we took you , to your favorite morning place;

To “Starbucks” for what we call “yappy hour”, with a smile upon your face!

Our little puppy has returned now, the “Leader of The Pack”;

Our hearts and souls are glowing, the “Little Dude” is back!
